Purpose;
Angle Auto Finance is an independent financier in Australia, bringing a modern platform and a flexible business approach to help more Australians with their car purchase.
The Commercial Business Analyst, reporting to the Executive Manager – Product is responsible for engaging broadly with functional stakeholders to document high level business cases and functional requirements for technological change initiatives which have obtained executive endorsement to progress. It is a high visibility, high paced role, helping our business deliver growth initiatives across sales, product and marketing.
Core responsibilities;
- Work with idea initiators to prepare high level business case and functional requirement documents for technology change initiatives.
- Collaborate between business and technology teams to progress change initiatives past the ‘high-level fact finding’ stage.
- Liaise with the finance team to ensure forecasted returns use the correct, endorsed methodology and that sensitivity levels and assumptions are accepted.
- Oversee SME input / capacity across all prioritized projects – chairing impact and scoping forums on a regular basis to ensure broader organizational impacts are well known and understood.
- Where needed, serve as BA/PM for strategic business projects, leveraging technical expertise to both scope, define and deliver.
- Act as a central “hub” for all commercial projects, reporting on progress to the Chief Commercial Officer and/or business committees as required.
- Oversee delivery of commercial projects – track progress, maintain overarching commercial timelines and work closely with change team to ensure successful implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
- Significant experience in a product or Business Analyst capacity in the asset finance or banking industry.
- Experience and knowledge in the workings of fixed term, fixed rate asset finance products a must.
- Experience in working with business and technology stakeholders to turn ideas into business cases, then scoping documents and functional requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of project management principles and an ability to manage complex business projects.
- Ability to prioritise and deliver to strict and often competing deadlines.
- A can-do attitude and inquisitive mind to how systems and processes work.
- A collaborative team player who can work with various parts of a business on a broad range of topics.
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of lean six sigma highly regarded
- Knowledge of relevant regulations that apply to the industry, e.g. NCCP, DDO, DSM a plus.
