Large, long-established business seeking business partner to sales. Reporting into the Commercial Manager the Commercial Analyst (operational) develops monthly reports that produce insightful information to be the catalyst for enhanced decision-making. The role will also encompass the production of quarterly financial plans and annual budgets. This requires a strong business partnering mindset to develop a continuous improvement focus across the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse actuals vs forecasts making commentary and identifying areas of improvement that can improve sales, margins and profits
- Develop strong relationships with the sales teams to act as business partner in meeting mutual outcomes
- Assist with business case development for CAPEX and improvement initiatives
- Take part in budgeting and forecasting including management processes, tools and data sources
- Coordinate budget and forecasting with functional and cost-center leaders
- Ad-hoc projects as/when required
Ideally you will have some analytical or management accounting experience gained from a complex business however candidates seeking their first transition into this space from accounting will also be considered.
Additionally, my client will favourably consider candidates making their first-time move out of a big 4 or mid-tier chartered firm who are interested in transitioning into an analytical role.
