APAC FM are seeking a Business Development Manager tasked with sourcing and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing and closing deals that meet customer requirements while upholding the clients high-quality service standards within specified market sectors. Facilities Management and Hard Technical Service experience is necessary.
The Opportunity:
- Meet or surpass predetermined sales targets within specified markets, as agreed upon by the Business Development Director and Divisional Managing Director, through effective negotiation and closure of sales opportunities.
- Cultivate enduring professional relationships with both existing and prospective clients, ensuring consistent post-sale support to foster mutual trust and alignment with the established business strategy.
- Identify and nurture a sustainable pipeline of prospects, encompassing both current market segments and emerging opportunities, for long-term growth and market expansion.
- Employ inventive strategies to cultivate new avenues of profitable business growth.
- Assume full responsibility for the creation and delivery of outstanding sales proposals and presentations, adhering to Company standards. Collaborate with specialised support teams (procurement, HR, QHS, etc.), local management, and Business Development Managers to generate tenders and associated documentation.
- Enhance the visibility and reputation of the company by representing the company at industry gatherings, engaging in high-level networking, and consistently projecting a professional image.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements, monitor competitor activities, and analyse market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Your Background:
- A solid foundation in education is essential and further academic qualifications, such as an HNC/D or a degree, would be advantageous.
- 5 years of documented sales or development experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in crafting high-quality sales documents and a demonstrated success in delivering impactful presentations is necessary.
- Experience in interacting with diverse stakeholders, including site personnel, suppliers, and clients, is required.
- The ideal candidate thrives in target-oriented environments and excels under pressure.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are indispensable. Attention to detail and a systematic approach are crucial.
- A strong customer-centric approach and the ability to foster team cohesion are vital qualities.
- Candidates should possess the ability to influence and inspire confidence in senior management through various communication channels.
- Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is expected, with a willingness to provide support across different business functions when necessary.
- The role demands both independent work and teamwork, necessitating self-sufficiency and adaptability.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional off-hours and travel across the Southwest region, is essential.
