Responsibilities

Commercial Management

  • Execution of commercial tasks to the Customer and Consortium and Third Parties including insurance
  • Contract development and review in sales phase
  • Commercial risk assessment
  • Contract Management in project execution
  • Preparation of tax and insurance concepts
  • Participation in the take-over process (Sales to Contract Execution) including the order intake calculation
  • Legal, financial, insurance claim management
  • Invoicing and accounts receivable/payable management
  • Collaboration with cross functions and service departments for drafting and negotiation of subcontracts and consortium agreements
  • Provide commercial and contractual inputs for logistics
  • Maximise value through effective business partnering
  • Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
  • Discover and implement growth strategies that boost financial success

Financial Management

  • Execution of financial and tax tasks to the Customer and Consortium and Third Parties
  • Foreign exchange management
  • Company and project cost controlling
  • Agile and solution focused to identify opportunities and maintain efficiencies through expanding global footprint and diversity with the Group Financial needs
  • Implementation of essential commercial site processes and organisations such as cash management, banking and accounting, leading and training of the commercial site team
  • Involvement in sourcing concept and follow up of financing requirements (conditions for ECA coverage, local content, foreign exchange risk, embargo restrictions etc.)
  • Management of Financial Accountant
  • Financial reporting to a global organisation, listed on the stock exchange market
  • Support in preparing financial inputs for board papers 

Personal Requirements & Attributes

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce. CA/CPA/CFA qualification or similar, is preferred

Pre-requisite: 

Legally authorised to work in Australia

Experience:

At least 5 years demonstrable experience a similar Commercial and Financial role in Australia (preferably within the power generation industry) 

Technical competencies and skillset:

  • Proven local experience in commercial and financial management 
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge in Australian Taxation and Insurance
  • Understanding of financial performance management
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
  • A self-starter who is solution focused 
  • Team oriented
