Talent Connect are excited to be partnering with the world’s largest unlisted Insurance Brokerage who are looking for a Commercial Insurance Broker to join their rapidly growing team based in the heart of the CBD.  

Associate Insurance Broker – Affinity & Commercial
The Affinity & Commercial team represents domestic, Small-to Medium Enterprise (SME), middle-market and associations, franchises and buying groups from a wide range of industries and sectors. 
The full range of products and services are offered to clients with a particular focus on property & casualty, motor, claims, financial lines, alternative risk transfer, people risks and risk consulting.
You will be a key member of the Affinity & Commercial team delivering leading client-centric insurance solutions. 

What the day will look like

• Working closely with and supporting an experienced team of brokers 
• Prepare documentation for provision to clients and insurers 
• Utilise online quoting systems 
• Undertake market research to find insurance solutions for a wide variety of clients 
• Strive to deliver the highest levels of service and best possible outcomes for clients
• Utilise existing operational systems and processes to support administrative efficiency
• Collaborate with all areas in the Howden Australia business
• Engage with a number of insurers and Managing General Agents (MGA’s)  

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Tier One Insurance broking certification would be an advantage 
• An introductory understanding of  or interest in a broad range of Insurance products, including Property, Liability, Motor, Accident & Health and other related classes of insurance
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to a variety of clients and senior team members confidently 
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills 
• Self-starter committed to learning, able to operate effectively in fast-paced environment, have a good sense of humour and team-oriented approach
