About the Role
Our client is a leading global renewable energy company that specializes in the development, financing, operation, and maintenance of sustainable energy projects in Australia. The company focuses on a diverse range of renewable sources, including solar, wind, and storage solutions. With a commitment to promoting clean energy, This renewable energy company has established itself as a key player in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the global transition towards a more sustainable and environmentally Globally and Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for the sale of long-term bankable electricity contracts
- Coordinate and manage client's tender responses for innovative products
- Develop compelling commercial offers
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms of Power Purchase Agreements or similar agreements
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential electricity buyers and hydrogen project partners
- Devise strategies to expand client's market reach.
Key Relationships:
- Energy market players (retailers, brokers, traders)
- Government agencies
- Corporates with significant electricity load
- Collaboration with INTERNAL teams: Energy Management, Development, Finance, Procurement, Construction
- Coordination with external legal advisors and consultants
Requirements:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in business or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in the energy industry with a strong understanding of electricity markets
- Proven track record in sales and business development
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously, responsible for delivering tender responses and commercial proposals
- Proactive attitude with a strong drive to conclude deals
- Fluent in English
