We are seeking a talented Commercial Manager to join our Bupa Healthcare Centres team! 

As a commercial leader, you will be accountable for supporting a diverse portfolio of Healthcare Centres. You will drive financial and commercial performance by providing insightful analysis and reporting on business performance and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. You will partner with the Operations team to identify, report and manage the key performance drivers in the business.

Reporting to the Head of Provider and Commercial – Healthcare Centres this is a permanent, full time and hybrid role. You can be based from our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office locations when not working from home. 

What will your day look like:

  • Lead the preparation of detailed qualitative and quantitative reports, including written recommendations, statistical analyses and evaluations of practice performance compared to market trends.
  • Provide insights into potential growth areas, points of difference, strengths and opportunities for Bupa Health Centres.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to present key performance metrics to stakeholders, this includes metrics relevant to supporting recruitment of new General Practitioners.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Identify key business improvement opportunities using operational, financial and customer data and insights to improve customer experience, operational performance and productivity.
  • Leveraging data and customer insights to identify core customer segments, market gaps to target and develop respective strategies to maximise opportunities.
  • Assist the Connected Care team with M&A activities such as conducting financial analysis and modelling for prospective purchases including acquisitions, expansions of existing sites and greenfield sites.
  • Support business planning discipline for practice pipeline strategy and individual practice growth.
  • Collaborate with Operations Teams and Practice Leadership teams to optimise provider schedules and access.
  • Manage contracts with healthcare providers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate contract performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Negotiate and renegotiate contracts to optimize terms and conditions.
  • Use effective negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills to engage key stakeholders to reach consensus for common strategic goals.

What do I need? 

  • Tertiary qualified with a Business or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or within Finance, Product, or Commercial roles.
  • Strong business development experience with financial and vendor management ability.
  • A high level of financial and commercial capability, with proven experience in applying financial and operational performance frameworks to drive successful business outcomes and contractual obligations, ideally within a networked business environment.
  • Proven client relationship management and key stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in Healthcare
  • Demonstrated project management skills,
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills and proven experience in writing reports
