As a cybersecurity scale-up experiencing tremendous client growth and fast becoming the leader in our field, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious Commercial Account Manager to join the team. This is a key role that will manage the retention, development and commercial growth of our customer portfolio of leading Australian and New Zealand customer brands to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

If you are looking for the next step in your account management/sales career, or wanting to step into a commercial function, this is the role for you. You will be an important member of the team, trusted to own relationships with senior contacts in large ASX-listed organisations and lead the charge in growing their services. The ideal candidate will have commercial maturity, and experience developing relationships with corporate clients. Existing sales experience is a plus but not required, however this is a sales role, so you will need a good commercial attitude and be willing to learn. We are looking for someone who wants to grow their career and we will support that journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships - Own and expand existing client relationships, both at a senior and day-to-day level. This will include conducting periodic account reviews, regular meetings (both virtual and in-person) and seeking new introductions within client organisations.
  • Client Retention - Oversee contractual renewals and minimise service churn, act as an escalation point for any issues and ensure clients are happy with our services.
  • Client Growth - Understand customer needs, upsell and cross-sell services to increase customer revenue and drive overall portfolio growth.
  • Industry Expertise - Develop a deep understanding of our industry and the products/services that we offer, stay up-to-date with current industry news/trends, communicate updates effectively with clients.
  • Internal Relationships - Build strong relationships with our operations team to stay updated on day-to-day client activity and any new trends. Act as a "quarterback" between clients and our available internal teams/resources.

Requirements

  • Experience developing trusted, consultative-style relationships with corporate clients.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Passion and aptitude for working with clients and driving revenue growth.
  • Self-starter who is motivated, able to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational, time management and multitasking abilities.
