This role is located in Swanbank (must live within 30 minutes due to fatigue management

The Role:
Collection: Waste management plant workers may be involved in collecting waste from various sources, such as residential areas, businesses, and industrial sites. This can include collecting garbage, recyclables, and hazardous materials.
Sorting and Separation: Workers sort and separate different types of waste to facilitate recycling and proper disposal. This involves identifying and separating recyclable materials from non-recyclables, as well as handling hazardous waste with caution.
Processing: In some cases, waste needs further processing before disposal or recycling. Workers may operate machinery and equipment to compact, shred, or otherwise process waste materials.
Equipment Operation: Waste management plants use various types of equipment, such as compactors, front end loaders, skid steers/bobcat Workers may operate and maintain this equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Safety Procedures: Waste management can involve handling hazardous materials, so workers must follow safety protocols. This includes using protective gear, understanding emergency procedures, and ensuring the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
Environmental Compliance: Workers need to be aware of and comply with environmental regulations related to waste management. This includes understanding local, state, and federal laws governing the disposal and treatment of different types of waste.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance of equipment and facilities is essential to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the waste management plant. Workers may be responsible for basic maintenance tasks or coordinating repairs with specialized technicians.
Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of the types and quantities of waste processed is often required for regulatory compliance. Workers may be responsible for documenting the handling, processing, and disposal of waste materials.
Public Outreach: Some waste management facilities engage in community outreach and education to promote responsible waste disposal and recycling practices. Workers may be involved in educational programs or public awareness campaigns.

Must have:
- Hep A and B injections
- Compactor (experience and license required)
- Front End Loader(experience and license required)
- Skid steer/BobCat (experience and license required)
