Form of workA fantastic opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and talented Commis Chef to join our innovative kitchen team. In your role you will directly report to the Director of F&B you will be responsible for the efficient and affective operations of the kitchen department.

Responsibilities include:
*Assist with ordering of necessary food items according to business needs and demands.
*Work with and coordinate the work of Apprentice Chefs in the preparation and production of food as required
*Prepare mis-en place as required
*Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
*Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
*Keep all working areas clean and tidy & ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned to WH&S standards
To be successful for this role you will need to have:
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Trade qualifications
*Excellent technical knowledge
*Genuine passion for Food
*Customer service driven
*Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
*Excellent organisational skills and grooming standards
*Understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards
