Who are we looking for?
A passionate, talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our team. Prior experience working in a similar environment would be a huge plus, however we do also offer training and support for all our team members to develop skills, knowledge and abilities.

About the Role & Responsibilities:
- Running a section of the kitchen under supervision of a Senior Chef
- Organise food production in line with food & prep list
- Mise-en place, prepare kitchen and all equipment to be used for prep and for the day’s service.
- Assisting other chefs in menu preparation
- Creating and plating dishes as per menu/dining procedures and in accordance to HACCP regulations.
- Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking, ensuring FIFO and efficient stocking level
- Ensure proper storage of food products and ensure correct temperature of products and storage areas
- Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils.
Essential Criteria:
- The successful candidate must be well-groomed & presented with a can-do attitude, a genuine love for the industry with a love affair with fine food and wine.
- Willing to learn and enhance cooking skills
- Formal Commercial Cookery Certificate
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork & time management skills
- Working knowledge & understanding of OHS & HACCP policies & procedure
- Strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm to expand your culinary knowledge
- Hours – available to work in the evenings, Tuesday to Saturday (we are closed Sunday & Monday).
