About the Opportunity:We are looking for the industry’s finest Commis Chefs to join our team to deliver a best-in-class dining experience. You will be driven and genuinely passionate about cooking. - Assist senior chefs with the day to day operations of the kitchen utilizing your skills & experience
- Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items
- You will be responsible for your section and operate to optimum efficiency
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen
- Wok experience highly regarded
- Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information
- Interest in local and global food trends
- Good communication and immaculate presentation
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Team player and display a positive and nimble attitude
- Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S
- Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques
- Focus on detail
- Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
- Calm and composed demeanour
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
