Elliott Gray are pleased to be bringing you another local commercial opportunity with the ACT Law Society as they continue to expand their workforce.
The Society’s role in the ACT community is to represent, advance, and defend the interests of an independent legal profession in the ACT. The Society lobbies for ‘good law’ in the ACT region and seeks to reduce costs and improve conditions for their members.
They are now seeking for their newest member to join the team as Committee Administrator Coordinator. This position will provide secretariat support for all committees within the Law Society to ensure smooth communication and coordination of all meetings and committee enquiries.
What does this mean for you?
Well, it means that you need to be someone that has excellent time management and takes pride in your organisational skills. Communication will be key in this position as you will be responsible for managing all committee related email enquiries. As for your writing skills, they will also have to be fine tuned as you will be recording action items and coordinating the distribution of tasks to business areas within the Law Society as required. Full disclosure, this means that once a month you will have to attend a later meeting, but it is made up for with a 35-hour work week and flexible arrangements!
These meetings will also be your responsibility to coordinate and schedule for those needing to attend. This is where your organisational skills will need to shine as these meetings are vital to the Law Societies success. So, if you are someone who has demonstrated administration skills who can work to tight deadlines, this is the job for you.
Furthermore, the Law Society works together as a collaborative team. Which means we are looking for a team player that is happy to help when called upon. This includes supporting member engagement, the events team, and other administrative based duties. This is a fun environment where everyone helps to contribute to a workplace culture that is consistent with the Society’s vision and objectives.
This role is perfect for someone that has worked in a member-based association or has experience in a legal, policy or research environment. However, if you are someone that is ready for the next step in their administrative career and don’t have these qualities, don’t let that stop you from applying!
We are very open to seeing your transferrable skills so make sure you get that application in by clicking the apply now button. Alternatively, if you have any further questions, reach out to me on 0435 935 *** or email *****@elliottgray.com.au.
