Introduction

We are seeking a Communication and Engagement Specialist to join our Metso team. Your role plays a crucial part in internal communications and Engagement across Metso Asia Pacific. 
In this position, you will report to the Talent, Learning & Resourcing Manager. 

This position is located in West Perth and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements. 

Team you belong to

This is a unique position, where you form part of the wider HR team but have a lot of autonomy in your day to day. You will work closely with many of our internal (local and global) and external stakeholders. The members in our immediate team are located across Australia and Asia.

What you’ll do
•    Acts as an ambassador for the Company’s value-based behaviors and drives change & transformation programs 
•    Owning employee Engagement tools and Engagement plans for Metso Asia Pacific and enhance employee relations and Engagement
•    Develop content for company-wide events such as monthly Town Hall and the face-to-face annual conference. This includes managing the agenda, overseeing messaging, creating assets (e.g. presentations, video), sourcing and briefing external speakers and more. 
•    Lead, support and execute initiatives such as People Talks, RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan), Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Wellbeing and all engagement related programs and events
•    Participate in setting objectives and strategic plans for the internal Communication and Engagement agenda and track progress through monitoring and reporting analysis
•    Manage and handle all internal communications for Metso Asia Pacific to Implement best internal communication practices and develop solutions to help improve communications to our internal audience
•    Coordinate content production and publishing across a range of digital and traditional mediums, channels, and platforms, including messaging, SharePoint intranet content, fact sheets, FAQs, presentations, Viva Engage posts and user guides
•    Collaborate with the global communications team to assist in developing assets for our company communications
•    Partner with HR to deliver and amplify moments that matter to enhance the employee experience and our reputation as a great place to work. 
•    External communication strategies to enhance employee value proposition (EVP) and communication opportunities

Who you are

•    Relevant qualification and experience in corporate communications
•    Experience assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of engagement activities across the organisation 
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to timeframes.
•    Experience with graphic design programs such as Photoshop and Canva.
•    Highly developed writing, communication, organisation and planning skills and the ability to translate technical language and concepts into audience-specific messaging
•    Experience in creating engaging digital content across a range of platforms. 
•    Confident and collaborative project management skills.
