An opportunity exists to join the Communications & Governance team in the role of Communications Advisor where you will contribute to the efficient delivery of road and transport infrastructure through the provision of high-level support to management on the development and review of executive correspondence and media enquiries, provide advice on the review of complaints and support other team members undertaking public and web enquires.
To help keep Queensland moving, we are actively recruiting for a Communications Advisor with previous exposure to:
- Providing community engagement support including assisting staff with communication advice, and the development and implementation of communication strategies and key messages for projects.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring information provided in management reports is accurate, meets required timeframes, complies to business rules and meets management requirements.
- Providing strategic advice to the Regional Leadership Team, Managers, and Team Leaders on the area's executive correspondence and complaints management
- Preparing a variety of high-quality communication materials, such as media releases, ministerial briefing notes and statements, Questions on Notice, and speech notes.
- Provide training, advice and support to regional staff and consultants to enhance communication skills and improve relationships with key stakeholders and the community in the delivery of projects and departmental initiatives.
- Mentoring and coaching support staff and identify training needs.
