Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
COMMUNICATIONS AND INTEGRATED PLANNING OFFICER
The role of the Communications and Integrated Planning Officer is to disseminate information to the community and staff through various channels including Council’s website, social media platforms, media releases and newsletters. Deliver consistent messaging, across all media platforms, that supports and promotes Council. Support effective consultation and engagement through targeted strategies and assist with Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require a Diploma in either communications; graphic design; public relations; journalism; or other related field or demonstrated experience working in a multi-faceted communications role. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will need to prepare quality media releases and respond appropriately to media enquiries, have graphic design experience and experience utilising web-based communication tools, including social media platforms.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $81,095.56 to $89.203.92 (Grade 14) plus Superannuation.
