About the Role
Reporting to the Manager: Communications and Marketing, the Communications and Marketing Officer is responsible for supporting a broad range of marketing functions, including triaging communication and advertising requests, student recruitment event delivery, coordinating student ambassador engagement, editing web content, producing print and other communications material, as well as providing marketing administration such as responding to photography and asset bank requests.
To succeed in this position, you’ll be a highly organised marketer with a broad skill set, as well as outstanding written communication and project management skills. You’ll enjoy a fast-paced work environment and the opportunity to work on a range of different activities.

The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally, and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to assess and triage communication and Marketing requests with the Manager: Communications and Marketing and other CMK staff, and respond with appropriate solutions
- Demonstrated experience in working as a team to deliver a range of marketing communications activity, including development of content and promotional material, updating website copy, sourcing photography, meeting project deadlines and coordinating approvals
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver student recruitment events and communication elements with a customer-centric focus
- Demonstrated experience in briefing and delivering advertising in-line with agreed advertising processes, including the sourcing of relevant photography, editing of text and management of stakeholders approvals
- Experience in maintaining a library of photography and other digital resources for supporting print and advertising projects
