The Role: The Communications & Media Officer is responsible for delivering and implementing proactive and reactive media and communication projects. You will assist the Department for Trade and Investment to grow its profile locally, nationally, and internationally in support of its economic growth and job creation ambitions. About You: To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
Significant knowledge of, and experience in, the application of communications theory and methodology across all media
Effective communication both verbally and in writing
Experience in developing, coordinating and reviewing communications projects
Experience in undertaking research and developing engaging and informative speeches
Knowledge of marketing tools and process such as MailChimp and Google analytics

Special Conditions Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
