The ACT Long Service Leave Authority (ACT Leave) is a Statutory Authority of the ACT Government responsible for the administration of portable long service leave benefit schemes for covered industries within the ACT.
Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. Under the guidance of a new Strategic Plan, we are in an exciting time of innovation and change, and with several major transformation projects in progress, effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is essential.
Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will assist with:
- content creation for various platforms, such as the ACT Leave website, social media, information sheets, newsletters, and presentations
- championing ACT Leave’s new brand identity
- stakeholder engagement and change management communications
- delivery of our communication strategy and relevant plans.
We are looking for a Communications Officer who:
- loves a challenge
- thinks imaginatively
- has an affinity for words, and can write professionally and creatively to engage a range of audiences
- is excited about developing a more prominent presence for ACT Leave, both online and across Canberra
- appreciates structure and takes a logical and methodical approach to achieving outcomes.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or experience, in a related discipline such as communications, media, journalism or marketing highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 20 December 2024 with the possibility of extension up top 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
