The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Officer to join our team.
- The Communications Officer is responsible for supporting the Manager Media and Communications to maintain the communication functions of Country SA PHN.
- Specifically, the role will be primarily responsible for the outward facing social media platforms and website.
- It is expected that the Communications Officer will take carriage of graphic design functions in partnership with the Manager Media and Communications.
- Further responsibilities extend to supporting the development of communication and collateral material that align with Country SA PHN’s strategic objectives.
It is expected that this position will remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the organisation and community.

About you
Essential requirements to apply for this position are:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or similar.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proficiency in contemporary communication, administration, and information systems.
- Expertise and experience with creating visual communications content with a range of design platforms.
- Experience in researching information and undertaking projects independently or as a member of a team.
- Experience in the use of online systems/software used for digital campaign delivery.
- Ability to manage high work levels, meet stringent timelines and perform well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and apply tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Proven ability to use IT, communication technology and word processing applications including the Microsoft Office suite to a high standard.
- Able to analyse and evaluate information with due regard to urgency, coherence, tone, consistency, and sensitivity to subject matter.
- Able to utilise initiative, judgement, and discretion to provide high quality, timely pieces of work.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and community.
