The opportunity
This APS5 Communication Officer role is in the Marketing Communication Branch of our Federal Government client and provides timely and relevant communication support. The team partners with business areas across the agency to use data and insights and identify opportunities to communicate emerging market trends and improve the overall client experience.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;
· Assisting with designing, developing, implementing and evaluating content, communication strategies and products.
· Providing specialist advice and interpretation of communication processes, guidelines and policies. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, scoping needs, resolving issues and achieving positive outcomes.
· Assisting with scheduling, coordination and publishing communication content.
· Undertaking a wide variety of general tasks as required, including managing inbox enquiries.
· Preparing reports on communication activities, and providing content for internal stakeholders.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;
· Strong administrative skills and previous experience aligned to the role.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide information and advice to a range of stakeholders.
· Good interpersonal and networking skills.
· Ability to multitask and problem solve with good attention to detail.
· Competency with IT systems.
· Experience in communications strategy/plan development.
· Experience working in a Federal Government setting would be advantageous.
