Communications Officer
Are you looking for an opportunity to work for an innovative Council? As a member of the Town’s Community Engagement and Communications team, this role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the local community and to work in one of Perth’s most desirable locations.
This full-time appointment reports to the Manager Community Engagement and Communications, and will be responsible for meeting the communication needs of the Town and for ensuring the Town's views are presented to the media, community members and other key external stakeholders in a positive, accurate and timely manner.
The position will also play an important role in supporting the provision of a diverse range of community events and programs that are consistent with community and organisational expectations.
Salary in the $80 - $85,000 range is on offer, plus up to 16% superannuation, generous leave conditions, and other Town focused benefits such as free parking, and health and well-being initiatives.

- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and professional writing skills.
- Considerable experience in corporate communications, public relations and media liaison.
- Experience writing for different audiences and platforms, and working within a language style guide.
