We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Communications Officer for a 9-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension to June 2025. As a Communications Officer, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and reviewing stakeholder engagement strategies to achieve the department's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating with their target audience. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Build, maintain, and improve internal and external relationships to facilitate effective implementation of engagement strategies.
- Utilise engagement methods and audience analytics for targeted communication.
- Develop written content for organisational announcements and milestones.
- Organise and publicise events aligned with project priorities.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Communications Officer or similar role, with project management capabilities and stakeholder engagement expertise.
- Practical experience in project management, or tertiary qualifications in communication, engagement, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in building stakeholder engagement relationships.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
