Communications Specialist 4 Nov 2023 Perth, WA, AU, 6000 About the role: Reporting to the Manager Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement, the Communications Specialist will be required to use their strategic communications expertise to drive clear, coordinated and consistent messaging across HanRoy and Hancock Prospecting.  The successful applicant will know how to optimise internal communication channels in support of the company’s vision, values and business objectives.

The duties for this role will include: Plan and execute the overarching strategic internal communications plans. Manage the delivery of the company’s brand project which brings to life our values and mission. Measure effectiveness of communication strategies, messages and campaigns, using this insight to advise stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.

Contribute to internal communications channels across face to face and digital, including planning, creating content and measuring effectiveness. Design and implement communication improvement projects and the communications delivery calendar. Take briefings and develop, edit and/or review communications content, tailoring this to the relevant audience and purpose.

Manage the company’s monthly morning teas and sundowners, including presentations, talking points and event management. Provide support for external communications and media, social media and brand and marketing requirements as directed. Provide support in the event of a crisis or major company event, as directed.

Remain up to date on latest communications theory, applying this knowledge to provide strategic communications advice and support to stakeholders. Provide coaching to leaders on their communication skills. To be success in this role, you will have: Minimum five years’ experience in a corporate communications role.

Minimum two years’ experience in delivering effective internal communications programs. Experience in effectively coaching leaders to deliver real improvements. Experience in working across a range of communications platforms and technologies.

Relevant degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Media or similar. Experience with website development & editing skills. Film, photography & image editing skills are essential.
