Community Connect Worker
Community Support Centre Innisfail Neighbourhood Centre is seeking a new team member to fulfill the role of Community Connect Worker. This position is Permanent Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight; SCHADS Level 4.1 $41.52/hr).

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Community Connect Workers provide tailored, short-term responses to the community that facilitate access to supports and services, and to build skills and capability of service users.
The Community Connect Worker is employed to support the Innisfail Neighbourhood Centre functions and will work alongside staff and volunteers to respond to community goals by building social connections and developing referral pathways to support services.
The Community Connect Worker is accountable to the Child Family Programme Team Leader, Community Support Centre Innisfail.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services or similar degree and/or significant experience in equivalent work.
- Possession of an open driver’s licence.
- Possession of, or ability to acquire a 'Working with Children' Suitability card.
- Covid-19 Vaccination: Engagement is subject to the person fully satisfying the COVID-19 vaccination requirement under the CSCI COVID-19 Vaccination policy.
Key Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience of working with crisis and emergency/disaster service delivery models.
- Demonstrated experience and skill of working across cultures.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in coordinating interventions, including information, referral, advocacy, and distribution of financial resources.
- Knowledge of and ability to work collaboratively with other government and non-government service providers and systems.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and ability to navigate on-line systems for service users as well as client databases and data collection.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team environment across programme areas as well as independently.
