The Role


The Community Development Manager (CDM) at Beyond Bank Australia will be driven to develops new markets and business opportunities, focusing on the community and B Corp sectors. They love to build strong relationships that contribute to our growth, enhance our brand presence, and demonstrate the impact we strive to have in our communities. The CDM is passionate about collaborating internally to ensure we are all working towards building sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships and outcomes while adhering to BBA values and practices.

In the role you will:

  • Build a strong business development strategy that will lead to new community banking relationships to achieve portfolio objectives in the region.
  • Build internal relationships that drive a truly collaborative environment, ensuring that we are working as a whole of business to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Mix your love for banking and a love for the community sector.
  • Develop and implement a community engagement strategy that will lead to strong mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Support the organisation's brand strategy (awareness, community attributes and salience) by developing our region-based community partnerships, strategies, programs, activities, and initiatives. 
  • Building and maintaining relationships with like minded stakeholders across the community sector, for purpose sector as well as other community industry bodies, government, and media that support our strategy.
  • Build community engagement activations, events and partnerships that support the community strategy.

About you

You should be a driven and goal-focused person. One that possesses a strong passion for the community sector and creating value by building new business opportunities that support and enhance customers and non-customers. You love building relationships, collaborating and would be effective in engaging with community partners and internal departments.

  • Strong business development experience
  • Banking experience desirable.
  • Able to build and manage a sales pipeline to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the interests of internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a strong sense of self-awareness
