Community Services and Development
The Community and Sustainable Development holds a pivotal executive role, overseeing the development and execution of strategies, whilst collaborating with cross- functional teams, developing programes, community building, engagement, funding and stakeholder management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Direction and Development: Lead the Community Services and Development division, which encompasses various programes on the Ngaanyatjarra lands
- Team Leadership and Coordination: Guide a diverse team, ensuring a unified approach to service delivery and community development projects
- Staff Development and Mentorship: Foster professional growth and skill development among team members
- Community Engagement and Cultural Promotion: Innovate and implement strategies to enhance engagement within the community, whilst overseeing the creation and implementation of projects to empower the community.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain positive relationships with the Ngaanyatjarra Community and staff
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organisations, and community partners to maximise impact and effectively leverage resources.
- Resource Development and Strategic Funding: Proactively identify and assess potential funding sources
- Program Integrity and Compliance: Ensure all programs are executed in strict alignment with funding body agreements and service guarantees
- System Compliance and Regulation Adherence: Actively support and enhance the organisation's Work Health and Safety (WHS) management system
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- C class Driver's licence.
- National Police Clearance not older than 3 months.
- Work rights in Australia.
- Certification in remote team management or equivalent experience.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills certification, focusing on high-stakes negotiations and remote communications.
