About you and this position:
Reporting to Manager, Community Services & Social Development, you will:
- Implement Council’s Children’s Plan
- Develop and implement Council’s Youth Plan
- Facilitate Council’s Youth Advisory Committee
- Review and support Council’s children and youth participation and engagement opportunities
- Build relationships with schools, organisations, clubs, groups and individuals who work with Children & young people in the area
- Identify opportunities to partner with organisations, individuals and groups and turn ideas into action utilising the partnership
- Undertake social research with Children & young people to provide relevant local context to issues of interest
As a successful candidate, you will have:
Essential
- Diploma or higher in Community Work or Social Science or Education is essential
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain is essential
Desirable
- Experience working in a Community Development role
- Knowledge of local government
To be successful, candidates will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance.
This position is a full time, fixed term (3 years) position and is classified as a Grade 4 under the City of Campbelltown Municipal Staff Enterprise Agreement (and relevant Award).
