About you and this position:

Reporting to Manager, Community Services & Social Development, you will:

  • Implement Council’s Children’s Plan
  • Develop and implement Council’s Youth Plan
  • Facilitate Council’s Youth Advisory Committee
  • Review and support Council’s children and youth participation and engagement opportunities
  • Build relationships with schools, organisations, clubs, groups and individuals who work with Children & young people in the area
  • Identify opportunities to partner with organisations, individuals and groups and turn ideas into action utilising the partnership
  • Undertake social research with Children & young people to provide relevant local context to issues of interest

As a successful candidate, you will have:

Essential

  • Diploma or higher in Community Work or Social Science or Education is essential
  • Working with Children Check or willing to obtain is essential

Desirable

  • Experience working in a Community Development role
  • Knowledge of local government

To be successful, candidates will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance.

This position is a full time, fixed term (3 years) position and is classified as a Grade 4 under the City of Campbelltown Municipal Staff Enterprise Agreement (and relevant Award).
