The Client:
Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by an industry leading Community Housing Provider to assist in the recruitment of a Community Development Officer on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for developing community partnerships for tenants. Through consultation with tenant s you will identify community needs, develop, revise and support programs and services, assist with grant applications and maintain the appropriate record keeping functions and reporting.
The Successful Candidate:
In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in social science, community services, humanities or similar discipline
- Significant community engagement experience including grant application
- Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and develop and maintain productive partnerships that are outcome focused
- Sound understanding of Community Housing and challenges faced by Community Housing tenants
- Current drivers licence with the right to drive in Australia
