Community Development Project Officer – Permanent, Full Time Salary: $76,446.07 - $81,186.73 per annum Plus, up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply) Ref No: 24-024Working as part of the Community Development Team, you will assist in coordinating and implementing projects relating to targets and commitments outlined in the City’s Community Development Business Unit Plan and the City’s operational and strategic plans. This position is responsible for planning, promoting, and implementing high-quality Community Development initiatives that reflect the local community’s needs, focusing on support to deliver the Age-friendly Plan, Regional Homelessness Plan, Community Gardens and the Communities in-focus program. This position collaborates with service providers and relevant stakeholders to design and facilitate delivery of programs, services, advice, awareness, and initiatives for the community.The successful candidate will have experience in planning and delivering Community Development Projects, and the capacity to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to work towards positive community outcomes. The position requires the candidate to work full-time flexible hours, with occasional evenings and weekends. Demonstrated experience in the effective planning and delivery of Community Development Projects, events and initiatives.Highly developed skills in written and verbal communication skills, including report writing skills. High level of interpersonal and collaboration skills to build mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
