Femur Connect is a community based organisation who provides support to participants who are requiring support in the community. Our Disability Support Workers are responsible for providing a high-quality service and implementing a range of program plans which are in line with both individual participant and group goals. They will demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional active support to the participants. Our Support Workers will develop and maintain relationships with families, carers and other relevant organisations. They will also be able to accurately record daily and weekly records of individual goal development in a timely manner. This role in particular is seeking an individual who will be a 1:1 support for participants. Our company has various shifts available in the morning, daytime, afternoon, evening & weekends. No Overnights or Sleepovers available at this stage.
Duties typically include supporting the client at home and out in the community with social support, light meal preparation, grocery shopping, travel training, assisting participants to group activities, personal care if required and support attending appointments.
Our clients are located in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, Inner Northern Suburbs and Inner-City Suburbs.

- We are seeking a highly experienced Support Worker who has been in the industry for 15 plus years and has extensive knowledge of the disability industry.
- We are seeking an energetic, passionate and bubbly person with high interpersonal skills who is wanting to grow within the company to a team leader position in the future.
- We are seeking an experienced Support Worker who is also qualified in fitness and is interested in doing personal training, hydrotherapy and support work.

We are looking for staff who
- Have a minimum two year’s experience in Community Disability Support work.
- Have experience with participants who have Autism, Intellectual Disability and Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health (highly regarded)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience communicating with families and record keeping.
- Demonstrated accountability and ability to act with clarity and sensitivity in relation to client issues.
- Exceptional time management and ability to manage expectations.
- Ability to problem solve with schedules, timetables and workload.
- Computer skills including use of internet and software and Microsoft Office (preferred or willingness to learn).
- A great understanding of the NDIS
- Are compassionate, show initiative and passionate about the industry.

- Certificate IV in Disability and/or similar qualification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
- Satisfactory Working With Children's Check (Employee)
