Community Education Officer

Aqwest is seeking a Community Education Officer to join our Business Services team, to develop and deliver community water education programs and engagement activities to the Greater Bunbury community.  

 The successful applicant should have a Bachelor degree in Education, Environmental Science (or equivalent), or equivalent workplace experience in the field of community engagement, education, or behavioural change. We are open to discussing part time or full-time options with the right candidate.

 About the role: 

• The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: 
• Develop, plan and deliver education and engagement activities including community workshops, events and school activities 
• Source, develop and maintain a variety of education programs, resources and promotional material that supports the delivery of water sustainability, for a range of audiences 
• Monitor, evaluate and report the effectiveness of programs 
• Work collaboratively and inclusively with a variety of stakeholders 
• Presentation of information to a range of audiences on topics, including water cycle, water supply and wastewater management, water sustainability and efficiency 
• Promote Aqwest services and projects within the community  
• Assist with the design and delivery of reconciliation action plan projects 
• Oversee, manage and assist with projects and events as required
