What you'll be doingThe Senior Engagement Specialist will plan and deliver stakeholder communication and engagement programs for Western Sydney Local Health District projects, including the Rouse Hill Hospital development.This includes working within the WSLHD Corporate Communications team to plan, implement and evaluate effective communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, activities and messages for internal and external audiences to enhance project outcomes.As part of the Corporate Communications team, the position includes events management, writing, generating and coordinating internal and external media campaigns designed to generate and promote system-wide awareness of the strategic directions, goals, achievements and activities.People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply; and where required, WSLHD will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard.Stepping Up aims to assist Aboriginal job applicants by providing information about applying for roles in NSW Health organisations. This does not apply for staff with disability.Please note: A person who is not an Australian citizen or a permanent resident is only eligible for temporary employment for a period not longer than the duration of their current visa or a period not shorter than the duration of the advertised position.Selection Criteria * Tertiary qualifications in business/project management/finance and/or relevant experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Advanced communication skills, including effective interpersonal, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills and advanced writing skills with an ability to draft high quality correspondence and reports.
  • Proven capability to establish and nurture productive and collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Western Sydney Local Health District staff, local residents, businesses, community representatives, local government officers, and state government agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and creating positive media opportunities for healthcare services and facilities, with a strong focus on aligning key messages with organisational priorities.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering key messages to a broad range of target audiences and channels, including online and digital platforms, social media, publications, media activities, and presentations. The ability to translate technical and complex information into easily understandable content.
  • Proficiency in assisting in the preparation of executive and ministerial correspondence, including event briefs, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment with a proven capacity to self-organise and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Must hold a NSW provisional drivers license.
