Form of workThis position will be responsible for being the first point of contact for community members. They will ensure that SWAMS initiatives and information is disseminated into the community in a culturally sensitive and holistic way. The role will also be responsible for engaging with community at meetings, forums and informal groups to bring ideas, feedback and suggestions to the executive management team.
This position will create partnerships with external agencies to ensure delivery of health services that are in line with the strategic direction of SWAMS.
Specific requirements of this position include but are not limited to;
Essential Criteria
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to tailor language and information to different levels of understanding.
- The ability to use computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- A strong knowledge of Noongar culture, and how this translates into health service provision for the South West region.
- Experience in delivery community events, public speaking and delivery of programs.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated ability to remain impartial during grievance resolution.
Desirable Criteria
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, certificate or significant experience in a similar role.
