Yawoorroong Miriuwung Gajerrong Yirrgeb Noong Dawang Aboriginal Corporation (MG Corporation) was established in 2006 to receive and manage the benefits transferred under the OFA to the MG People, who are recognised under Australian law as holding Native Title over large areas in the North of Western Australia’s east Kimberley region. MG Corporation seeks to achieve a healthy, wealthy, and culturally strong MG community. MG Corporation supports evidence-based social and community development projects that generate positive social and economic outcomes for MG people. The Kununurra Youth & Family Support Project is a 6-month pilot program supporting identified street-present youth and their families to access safe and secure living environments and to develop positive life skills and choices. The Position The Youth Patrol Community Support Worker will work in a team environment to deliver a 24-hour patrol roster. The position requires a commitment to working evening and night shifts. The position reports to the day and night Youth Patrol Team Leaders and the Youth Programs Manager. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery: Identify and build relationships with street-present young people to increase their safety and well-being through engagement in positive activity. Provide positive role modelling for young people to positively influence their behaviours and choices. Provide support and advice to assist in increasing the safety and well-being of young people. Assist young people to access and engage with appropriate support services to address concerns. Maintain electronic client records and case management data.
