The Opportunity
Sunnybank Green Retirement Village is a tranquil community, set on well-maintained tropical gardens, offering a peaceful and secure retirement for the residents. Reporting to the State Manager - Operations, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration and management to create a happy, welcoming and safe environment for independent living residents to enjoy. Working in a small, yet established community, you will enjoy creating a culture of customer service. As a customer-focused individual, you'll be a key resource working on coordinating resident and community engagement activities, managing village budgets, safety and security and facilities management. If you have a background in Hotel, Tourism or Hospitality Management - this is a perfect opportunity for you.

You will:
- Enable residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, choice and quality of life & maintain effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families
- Coordinate all daily operations of village services including safety, security, maintenance, compliance and functions & events
- Creation and implementation of budget development & financial management
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all policies and procedures
- Completing administration tasks including updating records and processing levies
- Act in accordance with all relevant external legislation & internal policies and procedures that relate to this position and the organisation
- Manage a small team of staff including hiring, inductions, rostering, ongoing training & development and performance management
- Liaise with internal teams including sales staff, finance, development and legal to ensure outcomes are exceeded
What you'll bring:
- Prior experience in an operations-based management role (e.g Hospitality, Hotel/Tourism, Property Management, Facilities Management, Retirement or Aged Care etc.)
- Fluent in Mandarin language skills (highly desired)
- Demonstrated experience in highly customer-facing and autonomous positions
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced computer skills
- Resilient and self-motivated attitude with a strong focus on results, customer satisfaction and conflict resolution
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete for you!)
- Minimum two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations
