About the role

The Administrative Officer Level 5 is responsible for the management, coordination and day to day administrative functions within the Camperdown Community Mental Health services. This position is also responsible for providing supervision, training and orientation for administrative staff under the direction of the Eastern Sector Manager and professional liaison direction from the SLHD MH Information Services Manager.

The Administrative Officer Level 5 role will be based at the Camperdown Community Centre and will support the daily work activities of nursing, medical and allied health staff within the Camperdown Community Mental Health Service to ensure all administrative service requirements and needs are met.

We are looking for someone who  

  • Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates experience in using an Electronic Medical Record (eMR) or other system for client registration and appointment scheduling and knowledge of medical terminology.

About working for SLHD

This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2023_022)

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
