At the Casey Area Mental Health Service, we are at the forefront of providing innovative and recovery-based Mental Health care to our growing community in the South-East growth corridor. Led by an innovative and supportive leadership team, our service is committed to creating an evolving model of Mental Health care. We provide comprehensive care to clients experiencing Mental Health difficulties in both inpatient and community settings. The Cranbourne Community Mental Health Team, an integral part of our service, offers an effective and comprehensive approach to the Monash Adult Mental Health Program. As we expand our services, we have several permanent positions available for Registered Nurses with a background in Mental Health. We offer ongoing full-time and part-time opportunities.
A Day in the Life
Our dedicated team operates from Monday to Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing comprehensive treatment and support to individuals grappling with complex Mental Health issues. Collaborating as a multidisciplinary team, we are committed to delivering high-quality, recovery-focused client care, and empowering individuals toward self-efficacy, independence, and social inclusion.
Your Key Responsibilities
In these roles, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Utilize your expertise in Mental Health legislation and policy through case management.
- Apply your clinical experience and skills in the realm of Mental Health.
- Manage your own patient caseload and actively participate in daily team functions, including the intake duty role, multi-agency liaison, and crisis management.
- Undertake holistic assessment of needs, treatment planning, monitoring, advocacy and linking of the consumer with appropriate community support services.
- Work in partnership and maintain a positive working relationship with other services, such as police, ambulance, emergency departments, family violence agencies, child protection and community services
You will engage with clients at Monash Health sites as well as within their own accommodations.

What you need
To be considered, you must have:
- Relevant qualifications aligned with the position descriptions.
- A post-graduate course in Mental Health is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in a Mental Health setting.
- Current AHPRA registration (for RN applicants).
- Current practising registration.
- Australian working rights.
- A valid Driver’s License is a requirement for this position
- Community Mental Health work experience an advantage.
