About the Role
We are recruiting experienced, qualified and AHPRA registered RN's and EN's that have gained experience in providing community-based nursing services.
Important!!! You will be required to travel as part of this role, so we are specifically recruiting for nursing staff residing in and able to travel within the below approximate location scope:
-Chermside to furthest South location being Cleveland, and
-Chermside to furthest North location being Margate
Typical duties will include:
- Delivering individualised clinically based nursing services such as wound-, catheter-, PEG changes-, bowel care (including TAI) and medication management to participants within their own home environment
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Working within a multi-disciplinary care, support and service team
About you
Ideally you have gained experience as a Community Nurse working in the disability sector finding great reward in applying your clinical experience and knowledge in your role.
Your RN / EN experience coupled with a unique ability to balance the execution of direct community nursing services with a focus on best practice will secure!

Key Role Priorities
- Demonstrated experience in community nursing preferably within the setting of disability - and mental health services an absolute must
- The ability to continuously demonstrate highly capable and organised Nursing skills
- Experience gained working within a mental health setting highly advantageous
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multi-task in an ever-evolving environment
- A professional yet compassionate and caring nature with resilience and “grit”
- Reliability, Punctuality, Honesty, Trustworthiness
- Effective communication skills with colleagues and participants on all levels
- Excellent electronic documentation and reporting skills
- A problem solver with ability to uphold Company Policies & Procedures demonstrating faultless work ethic
- Confident and capable to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously
Key Selection Criteria
- Hold a Current APHRA registration and be able to provide a copy of your nursing degree
- Current First Aid- & CPR Certificates and Right to Work (provide evidence if applicable)
- Current Australian driver license (C class with no restrictions) and own a fully maintained, registered and insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel - role does involve driving and travel between participants residences and areas as required
- Experience in a community or similar setting an absolute must have!
- Demonstrated experience in catheter care & changes, wound care, PEG management, chronic & complex care and documenting care plans
