Melbourne Physio Co. (MPC) is a rapidly growing mobile physiotherapy business servicing metropolitan Melbourne. We specialise in home care services for NDIS and aged-care participants. We work to educate and implement exercise that's enjoyable and doesn't feel like therapy.About youWe're seeking a physiotherapist with 10-20 hours of availability per week on a contract basis . MPC can offer a guaranteed client base with an immediate start date . As a contractor, you'll have flexibility to choose hours that suit both you and your clientele provided to you by Melbourne Physio Co. You'll be joining a team that services Melbourne's metropolitan north and west , with future options for work outside of these areas if desired. Remuneration is set at 60% of all billable hours ($84-120/hour), including travel. Please note, that whilst this is advertised as a contractor position, those seeking part-time employment work may also be considered following the submission of your application.ResponsibilitiesUtilise your expert knowledge in assessment and treatment to work collaboratively with the client and their allied health team to ensure expert integrated care is provided (i.e. this may include training other staff supporting the client). Using objective treatment goals, your management should be measurable and show progression over the course of the client's treatment program.
Manage a client base independently - this includes client appointment scheduling, relevant communication with support coordinators/other support staff and other administrative tasks that assist with the client's needs such as scheduling and invoicing. Support will be provided by Melbourne Physio Co. administration. Clientele include may those with complex physical and psychological needs, aged between 6 and 65 years old.RelationshipsYou will be required to develop a professional relationship with clients through rapport building and providing high quality care. This may also include relationships with a client carer, family and/or alternative significant others.
You will also be required to communicate and develop relationships with client's support workers where appropriate. Some of these administrative tasks will be completed by MPC staff.
Relationships with other service providers also assisting your client's needs (such as an Occupational Therapist or Exercise Physiologist), will be required at times.Qualifications and certificationsBachelor's degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy
Full AHPRA registration as a physiotherapist
National Police Check, First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
Professional and Public Indemnity Insurance with a minimum of $10M cover (or willing to obtain)
