We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Programs Officer to join our Community Learning & Development Team. Working with the broader team, you will assist with the development and implementation of community learning and engagement programs for all ages including initiatives that support early years literacy development.

The Position
This role is a two year fixed contract working two days per week across multiple sites within the Salisbury local government area. Reporting to the Community Programs Coordinator, this role will work as part of a team that delivers learning and engagement programs including all Public Library Service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Community Programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Develop and maintain relationships with program participants, community members, and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
- Previous experience delivering Community Programs in a paid or volunteer capacity
