Our History
The Brisbane Broncos are a professional rugby league football Club. The organisation was founded in 1987, prior to the team’s entry into the competition in 1988, as the first team outside of NSW. The Brisbane Broncos have built an iconic brand in Australian Sport and are the only publicly listed sporting franchise on the Australian Securities Exchange having grown from a total revenue of $29m in 2011 to a revenue of circa $60m in 2022.
The Club has delivered a lot of success over this time, winning six Premiership titles in the NRL Men’s competition and three Premiership titles in the NRL Women’s competition. Our vision is to become a World Class Sporting Organisation and have one of the largest fan bases in Australian sport. The Broncos are committed to the long-term development of rugby league in Queensland and the delivery of world class Community Programs focused on making a positive impact on the next generation.
About the role
The Community Programs Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and efficient day to day operations within the Community department. This role involves orchestrating program activities execution for the department, along with other operational requirements. With a focus on optimising processes, overseeing logistics and implementing streamlined procedures, the coordinator contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Community department.
Your primary deliverables include:
Program Activities
• Work with Community Operations Manager to develop the Community Programs activities strategy and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to drive
engagement and consistency, promote exposure and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain community department calendar
• Create project plans for each program activity to assist in overall activity execution
• Execute the annual Community calendar to deliver best in class experiences
• Complete on the day execution of program activities
• Identify and execute opportunities to innovate and expand the Community events portfolio to continue to grow the Brisbane Broncos brand.
• Prepare and deliver on event budgets identifying areas for investments and cost efficiencies
• Identify and execute opportunities to innovate and expand the program activities portfolio to continue to grow the Brisbane Broncos brand.
Onboarding & Exits
• Complete onboarding tasks for new community staff members
• Coordinate operations team induction sessions for new community staff members
• Facilitate induction sessions for new community staff members
• Coordinate exit process for community staff members
Bronx Learning Hub
• Onboard new starters onto learning hub to complete modules
• Track module completion through reporting notifying Program Managers of outstanding module completion
• Complete reporting within system noting of any trends with module completion, learning etc
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a small team of Administration Assistants to deliver against planned objectives, identifying areas for employee development, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Engage with key internal stakeholders to develop proactive strategies to meet business requirements and expectations.
Volunteer Tutors
• Attract, recruit and onboard volunteers, matching their interests with suitable opportunities
• Prepare effective volunteers job descriptions
• Coordinate volunteers, supporting them both with online and onsite face to face training
• Coordinate volunteer placement within schools and other community program activities
• Lead and develop a team of volunteers to deliver against planned objectives and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Scheduling volunteer teams to ensure all volunteer objectives are met across multiples programs within the Community department.
• Engage with key internal stakeholders to develop proactive strategies to meet Community and Government Programs requirements and expectations.
• Foster a productive team environment across a variety of locations, including out posted staff.
Reporting & Administration
• Perform data collection and collation tasks as required.
• Assist with special projects as required.
• Ensure all record keeping is accurate, timely and compliant with contractual requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on activities and results.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed to a high standard
• Provide support to Community Operations Manager to enhance the efficiency and quality of all Community program outcomes and delivery

Key Criteria
• Tertiary qualification in, Business, Marketing or a related discipline is desirable.
• Current Working with Children Check (including Blue Card)
• Current drivers’ licence.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations
• Strong financial acumen and experience in annual budget development.
• Current knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and an established relationship or ability to engage effectively and seek advice
• Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of working with Indigenous communities
• Experience of working collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of people both internally and externally, at all levels.
• Results-driven achiever with sound planning and organisational skills, along with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a culturally diverse team
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and build successful and mutual working relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Partnership management experience within the corporate sector.
• High level of proficiently in Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to operate as a dynamic and flexible team member
