Job Pathways (“JP”) is a leading Aboriginal controlled ‘for purpose’ community development organisation. Our programs aspire to improve lives and transform communities through the delivery of the Commonwealth Government Community Development Program, NDIS Service and a Recycling social enterprise. We are looking to fill a core role to assist our CDP team in Kalumburu to excel in service delivery.
Key elements of the role include:
- Supervising, training and guiding job seekers in safe work-like environments.
- Supporting the development of employable skills, such as workplace communication.
- Assisting with the completion of reports, inclusive of job seeker attendance records.
- Supporting the broader Activities Team with identification and development of activities as required.
- Travelling to remote Job Pathways sites as required to support the implementation of programs
Mandatory Experience
- Excellent relationship building skills including the ability to motivate and build rapport with others.
- Well-developed planning, time management and organisational skills.
- A proven strong personal initiative with a proven ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Possess a demonstrated passion for community development and/or helping vulnerable people in the community.
- Well-developed oral communication skills as well as sound written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Indigenous Australians and organisations and a demonstrated understanding of the social, economic and environmental factors impacting on local (rural and remote) communities.
Other Requirements
- A current manual C Class drivers license.
- Ability to engage in regular travel (by road and air) inclusive of short stays away from home.
Credentials Check
- It is a requirement of the role to provide a National Police Certificate. Job Pathways reserves the right to immediately terminate employment where it is deemed previous criminal (unspent) charges or pending charges may bring the organisation and/or programs and services delivered by the organisation into disrepute.
