Form of workThe primary duties and essential jobfunctions of the Registered Nurse are;
- To work closely with and assist the Service users, clinicians and other members of the MDT to ensure that the best possible primary health care is provided to guests.
- To conduct community visits with when required.
- Contribute to departmental planning and support in developing and maintaining a holistic approach to service delivery.
- Providing physical and general psychological comfort and support.
- Assisting with assessment of guest health needs, including observation.
- Monitoring and measuring clients’ health status.
- Experience and able to administer a phlebotomy when required.
- Experience and able to administer vaccines.
- Providing medication administration.
- Undertaking nursing interventions relevant to the level of practice or accreditation.
- Providing consultation and collaborative management with team members, and other agencies observing cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and clients’ rights.
- Developing effective working relationships with other Health clinicians in the acute and non-acute setting and with NGOs to assist in advocating for clients.
- Promoting community awareness of the needs of consumers and potential consumers and the resources available to meet their care needs.
As part of their general duties theCommunity Nurse will also comply with:

· Theprofessional code of ethics applying to Registered Nurses.
· Continuingself-education requirements to develop and maintain skills, knowledge, andprofessional development.
· Thecode of conduct, WHS, and Bullying and Harassment and other Yadah Care Servicespolicies and procedures.
· Yadah Care Servicesrequirements to maintain strict confidentiality inrelation to all patients, staff, workplace, and Local Health District matters.
· Yadah Care Servicespolicy to use its resources efficiently, minimisingcost and wastage and ensure waste products are disposed of in line with wastemanagement guidelines.
- Yadah Care Services requirement to report any risks identified (e.g. WH&S, Clinical, Financial, Financial, Technology, and Public Image) to the manager and request a risk assessment. Participate in risk management activities.
