About the Role

To primarily support the strategic direction of the organisation by researching, developing, and delivering business cases, tenders and grants for growth and expansion projects in line with organisational aims. This work is inclusive of working in partnership with internal expertise to deliver fully costed plans, and other stakeholders (internal and external) to design the services, workforce and program implementation and monitoring plans. A focus of this position is to explore and progress efforts to increase Parkerville’s service footprint to the south-west metropolitan corridor.

This role will be offered on a fixed-term, part-time basis working 30.4 hours per week. Primarily located at our Rockingham location, travel 1 day per fortnight to our Midland location will be required.

As a Growth Projects Officer, your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Research, analyse and review growth opportunities, identifying emerging issues/opportunities, developing evidence-based options, business cases, tender and grant applications, and recommended actions to enable growth.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation for identified growth options and projects.
  • Identify the relevant success metrics in determining the feasibility and viability of growth opportunities including risk return and cost benefit analyses
  • Positively build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to engage them in growth and expansion discussions and actions/plans
  • Build place-based partnerships in order to deliver on key strategic imperatives and enable the integration of service offerings to the local community.

In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline AND/OR extensive experience in research, business development and/or growth-related project management, in the community, health, and/or for purpose sector.
  • Demonstrable highly evolved analytical and project management skills exhibited by the ability to research, design, implement and evaluate short- and long-term strategic projects and business activities involving multiple stakeholders on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated understanding of commissioning processes and experience is writing tenders.
  • Evidenced ability to design, analyse and deliver new or proposed growth-related projects within a complex operating environment, including budget preparation, risk identification and mitigation, and stakeholder engagement analysis.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, engagement and facilitation skills that result in collaborative outcomes that meet and exceed project briefs and deliverables.
  • Highly developed, writing (reports, business plan, grants, and tenders) and administrative skills commensurate with a role reporting to the Executive levels.
