Principle Orthopaedics is a growing private surgical practice based at Peninsula Private Hospital. Our priority is to provide top quality service to patients, helping them through the process of undertaking successful surgery and ultimately improve their quality of life.
We are seeking a Part Time receptionist to join our team, 2.5 days per week plus occasional leave cover. This role also has the potential to increase hours as the practice grows, and is a job share position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Greeting patients
- Entering patient information and referral details into our clinical database
- Booking appointments and patient radiology tests
- Making surgical bookings
- Monitoring email and faxes
- Scanning external documentation and correspondence
- Billing consultations, preparing daily banking report and settlement
- Following up referrals
- Following up outstanding accounts.
- Typing medical reports
Minimum skills, knowledge and experience required:
- A kind and friendly phone manner
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Ability to touch type
- Experience in use of a multi-line phone system
- Previous experience in a specialist practice
Desirable skills, favourable but not essential:
- Previous experience in a surgical practice
