How we do it
- Lead the way in promoting awareness and early detection of kidney disease so more people are detected and managed earlier, and advocate for more government support;
- Provide vital programs and services to the kidney community that improve health and wellbeing outcomes and quality of life;
- Educate and work with health professionals to lift diagnosis rates and improve disease management; and
- Fund and support vital and innovative research to transform treatments in kidney disease for the benefit of future generations.
How you can make a difference
Work closely with the General Manager, Community and the wider Community team to deliver vital services and programs that support four key pillars of health and wellbeing, so that more people living with kidney disease can enjoy a greater quality of life and improve their health and wellbeing outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a team responsible for delivering vital support to adults and youth affected by kidney disease, including a first response Helpline service, a holiday mobile dialysis program, peer support and transplant accommodation
- Oversee the operational and governance aspects of services, budgets and team activities;
- Manage stakeholder relationships across community, clinical and commercial sectors in development and delivery of services;
- Manage a passionate volunteer base that support Kidney Health Australia’s work in advocacy, awareness raising, fundraising and program delivery;
- Monitor and evaluate services for quality and continuous improvement; and
- Manage service delivery platforms and CRM data.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in public health, health sciences, health management, social sciences or other relevant discipline
- Strong operational experience in delivering effective community support services and programs;
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of clinical, govt/NGO, professional, consumer and volunteers groups;
- Experience in leading teams to adopt a consumer-focused approach to service delivery;
- High-level oral, written and interpersonal communication abilities;
- Demonstrated budget, people and time management skills
