The Community Services Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and delivering strategic and operational community focused programs with a particular focus on youth, sport and recreation initiatives.
These activities and deliverables will positively contribute to improving community wellbeing and socio-economic outcomes through a collaborative place-based approach with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You will have a Certificate III in Community Services Youth Work or higher and / or experience working in a similar role. You have experience in engaging and partnering with community to deliver youth, and sport and recreation programs and initiatives that relate to a variety of young people (12-25 years) from different cultural and social economic backgrounds. You have well developed planning, prioritising and organisational skills with strong ability to work independently on multiple tasks to meet required deadlines and strong analytical skills. Additionally, you have a broad knowledge of community sports, recreation, youth, and cultural services within the Cassowary Coast area.
