ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Join Tender Loving Care’s vibrant and friendly team of Community Support Workers and help make a real difference in people’s lives.
TLC is passionate about connecting people with disabilities to workers that can help them achieve their goals. Our Community Support Workers support our participants with social, community & recreational participation, in-home support & daily living activities, specialised transport & domestic support.
This is the role for you if you have:
• An interest in supporting people with disabilities explore their capabilities and reach their potential.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and observation skills.
• The desire to share your interests and passions with others.
• The ability to manage your own time and work autonomously.
• A love for a constantly changing work environment.
• NDIS experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Qualifications in Disability and or Mental Health highly regarded.
• Early Childhood background is a Plus
• Perform all duties with professionalism & care.
• Work under general guidance from the person seeking support/their family.
• Work within clearly defined guidelines
• Be responsible for managing your own time.
• Be able to work with limited supervision.
• Perform activities requiring the exercise of sound judgment, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity.
• Support our clients with daily personal care.
• Support our clients with community access.
• An interest in supporting people with disabilities explore their capabilities and reach their potential.
• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience totalling at least three (3) years is a plus.
• NDIS screening check as required.
• A current Working with Children check.
• A current First Aid Certificate.
• Two professional referees for TLC (Tender Loving Care) to contact.
• Your work history and/or experience.
• A Driver's License and a car.
