We're seeking an experienced Accountant to support our Finance team located in Grovedale!

The Opportunity
FT - 90k - 100k base (based on experience).
As the Company Accountant, you will join a fast-paced, industry-leading company with future growth plans. You will work with a strong finance team and have great involvement with proactive project work, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency improvements.
This role is based in our Grovedale office and services over 53 of our sites nationally. If you're looking for variety in work, across different aspects of the company, then this role is for you!
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of financial and management reporting
- Prepare Journals relating to the General Ledger
- Daily banking reconciliation for store takings (Cash/EFTPOS)
- Prepare reconciliation work papers for all Balance Sheet accounts
- Maintain Fixed Assets Register, including additions, disposals and write-offs
- Internal P&L and Balance Sheet reports to the stage of review by the financial controller
- Variance and Expense analysis as required
- Support month and year-end closures
- Assist with annual budget processes
- Preparation of monthly BAS returns and annual FBT returns
- Analyse data in the corporate system to provide reports and advice for other parts of the business
General Administration, including:
- Submission of insurance claims
- Setup of utility and merchant services accounts for new stores/locations
- Creation of customer release forms (claims)
- Management of Hire Purchase schedules
- General ad hoc projects and duties as required
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel - It's essential!
- Proactive, autonomous, self-motivated and a natural problem solver
- Experience using large ERP systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP, Dynamics and Xero)
- CA or CPA qualification preferred but not essential
